MONDAY MARCH 6
On the priority seating in the JR trains. Japan has some of the best visual communication I've seen.
One of my paintings hanging up in Chikara's apartment!
Chikara with his lovely wife Yumi and their beautiful 18 month-old daughter Jeunet. She had just
woken up from a nap when we showed up and was less than thrilled to see us, but soon cheered
up and was dancing and clapping like crazy. Adorable!
So much cool stuff to look at. Art inspiration for daaaaaaaays.
Kobe's beautiful Chinatown. Chikara drove us and we walked around through strip after strip of shops until we
arrived at dinner. Most of these shops just sold vintage American t-shirts for dumb prices. Some sold t-shirts with
extra wrong English, like "I Love World the Best."
Todd Burlesque's SEND HELP Nike Dunk on sale in Kobe.
For dinner, we did it up yakiniku style, which involved plates and bowls of marinated, uncooked meat and a big
charcoal-heated grill in the middle of the table. We chilled while Chikara grilled and then we all dove in. We asked
Chikara what kind of meats he ordered and he said "stomach, heart, face..." So we're waiting for him to laugh and
then realized that he was serious. I didn't try the stomach, but yeah, I definitely ate part of a cow's face and it was
very delicious.
More yakiniku action.
Enjoying the hell out of some cow face.
Sarah eating a cow's tail. Oishiiiiiiii!
